Collusion in a Multi-party Communication Protocol for Anonymous Credit Cards
نویسندگان
چکیده
We proposed in 8] a novel scheme to implement an anonymous credit card that protects privacy while providing the security, record-keeping and charging mechanism of conventional credit cards. The key idea is to use cryptographic techniques to allow two parties to communicate without knowing each other. In this paper, we present a formal method to study collusion in the multi-party communication protocol in 8]. Application of the method to our protocol leads to a simpliied implementation of anonymous credit cards that is equally secure.

Anonymous Credit Cards and Their CollusionAnalysisSteven
| Communications networks are traditionally used to bring information together. They can also be used to keep information apart in order to protect personal privacy. A cryptographic protocol speciies a process by which some information is transferred among some users and hidden from others. We show how to implement anonymous credit cards using simple cryptographic protocols. We pose, and solve,...
متن کاملAnonymous Credit Cards and its Collusion Analysis
Communications networks are traditionally used to bring information together. In this paper, we use them to keep information apart in order to protect personal privacy. We show how to implement anonymous credit cards using simple building blocks and standard cryptographic techniques. We propose a systematic method to determine the set of parties that must collude to bring information together. ...
متن کاملCollusion-Free Multiparty Computation in the Mediated Model
Collusion-free protocols prevent subliminal communication (i.e., covert channels) betweenparties running the protocol. In the standard communication model (and assuming the existenceof one-way functions), protocols satisfying any reasonable degree of privacy cannot be collusion-free. To circumvent this impossibility result, Alwen et al. recently suggested the mediatedmodel where...
متن کاملPrice Ceilings as Focal Points for Tacit Collusion: Evidence from Credit Cards
We test whether a non-binding price ceiling may serve as a focal point for tacit collusion, using data from the credit card market during the 1980s. In our sample, most credit card issuers face a state-level interest rate ceiling, and well over half match their ceiling. We develop an empirical model that can separately identify the instance in which an issuer matches its ceiling because it is b...
متن کاملAnonymous Mobile Conference Calls
This paper describes an architecture and protocol for making anonymous mobile conference calls. A number of examples exist where multiple users may wish to communicate in an anonymous manner, such as anonymous virtual support groups (e.g Alcoholics Anonymous). Anonymous group identification schemes coupled with the novel idea of Virtual Numbers, allows for identification to a conference call fa...
